Colonial Food Pantry
The food pantry at Colonial Church exists to help those in need with food, household supplies, and their spiritual needs.
We want to create the environment where relationships can be built and encouraged. We want to share the love of Christ with these people and want to create the relationships that will open doors where conversations can happen.
We are open on the first and third Thursday of each month from 4:00-7:00pm. We run on private donations put into a designated account for the purchase of food and supplies. We run primarily on volunteer labor.
Clients can visit the Colonial food pantry every sixty (60) days. The exception will be the annual Thanksgiving distribution--these can be visited by all.

Be sure to mark your donation for the Colonial Food Pantry.
You might think the couple of cans of food you donate during a food drive doesn't amount to much, but you'd be wrong. Your gift could sustain a senior who has been saving money by skipping meals. Or it could help a child whose developing brain and body desperately need nourishing. We always need and welcome the following items:
- canned tuna
- meat based soups
- staples (rice, beans, pasta)
- peanut butter
- canned fruits and juice
- canned vegetables
- fresh produce (contact church office to make arrangements to drop off)
Monday-Thursday 9:00-5:00. You can also bring your donation to church any Sunday and drop them off at Guest Services in the MAC.
If you would like to volunteer, volunteers are needed on distribution days to help sort food during the morning, starting at 10:00 am, and to help with distribution, starting at 4:00 p.m.. We ask that all volunteers read the Food Pantry Guidelines before arriving. You can download a copy of the guidelines here. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more info or contact the church office at 940-691-8568.
